OPEN STUDIO WEEKEND

November 4-5, 2006
Make sure to have your Oregon Crafted signs out (be sure that the sign is on your property and not in the public right of way). If you are not able to have your studio open, please post a sign with your regrets and when you will be open again.

ARTRAIN USA IS COMING TO EUGENE!

November 8-12
Exhibit Opportunity: There will be a special area for demonstrating artists: do you work in a media that is easily transportable and would be interesting for students and visitors to watch? Would you enjoy greater exposure for your artwork and a chance to offer items for sale? We still have room for a few more artists! This is a great way to get more interest for your artwork as well as the Oregon Crafted organization and Guidebook. Please contact Patti or Yvette ASAP at 687-8353, for more information and to sign up.

Volunteer Opportunity: We are looking for volunteers to help with conducting tours of the exhibit (requires attending a 2 hour training session), directing traffic, set-up and or take down, or being available to assist with other needs. Please contact the Oregon Crafted office and your information will be directed to the appropriate committee.

WORKSHOP WITH TINA RINALDI

November 18th
Tina Rinaldi, former Jacobs Gallery Director, will be presenting a workshop on Saturday, November 18th, 10:30 am – 4 pm, at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe, Board Room. Join Tina as she shares her vast experience in the art field! Her workshop will discuss how to prepare marketing materials for curators, galleries, and art shows. There will be a $15 fee (Oregon Crafted members) or $20 (non-members) for this workshop. Please register by sending your check to: Oregon Crafted, 220 E. 11th, Suite 5, Eugene, OR 97401. The last day to register and/or receive a full refund will be November 10th.

ARTIST PACKETS - MATERIALS FOR 2ND EDITION

Artist Packets were mailed several weeks ago. If you have not received your packet, please let us know! We would like to have completed materials from everyone by November 15th, We would appreciate knowing if you are not planning on being in the 2nd Edition. Artists are signing up to be in the next edition of the Guidebook, which will come out in Spring 2007. Do you know anyone else who would like to be included? Oregon Crafted Artists Focus Group Discussions
The focus group meetings on 10/18 (in Eugene) and 10/24 (in Corvallis) were well attended with a great group of Oregon Crafted artists. Many creative ideas were exchanged and all agreed that it was very worthwhile to come together and brainstorm on how to move Oregon Crafted into the future. Patti will write-up all the wonderful thoughts and send copies of the minutes to everyone in the next few weeks.

VOLUNTEER BOOK DISTRIBUTORS NEEDED
