Greetings to all Oregon Crafted artists, crafters, partners, and supporters!
December 6th & 7th, 2008.
Make sure to have your Oregon Crafted signs out (be sure that the sign is on your property and not in the public right of way). If you are not able to have your studio open, please post a sign with your regrets and when you will be open again.
Like many other non-profits and businesses, Oregon Crafted is working to realign itself with the current economic realities. The staff is finding the work challenging and very promising. Watch for the news in the coming months.
Remember to shop locally during this holiday season. December 6 and 7th, Oregon Crafted studios will be open. Have a fun weekend drive. Do call artists before going to visit, to be certain they are open.
If you can’t get to a studio you can find work by Oregon Crafted artists by going to the Oregon Crafted Website Artist Directory, to get contact and website information. Also visit Oregon Crafted’s new partner, Stone Soup and their e-commerce website at www.shopthefrontier.com. Several Oregon Crafted artists have started to sell their work through this website. Look around the “store” and order gifts for your friends and family.
Most artist studios will be closed January 3rd and 4th for New Year’s.
Best wishes,
Joan
