OREGON CRAFTED JULY 2007 NEWSLETTER

Greetings to all Oregon Crafted artists, crafters, partners, and supporters!

OPEN STUDIO WEEKEND

August 4 and 5, 2007. Make sure to have your Oregon Crafted signs out (be sure that the sign is on your property and not in the public right of way). If you are not able to have your studio open, please post a sign with your regrets and when you will be open again.


NEWS FROM THE OREGON CRAFTED OFFICE:

The 2nd Edition of the Guidebook
We are pleased to announce that the new 2nd Edition Oregon Crafted Guidebook© will be available August 10th! It has expanded to include over 100 Artists and Galleries and is truly beautiful. We will start the distribution and sale of the Guidebook in mid-August. (Artists please note: a letter was sent on 7/26/07 with distribution meeting dates and locations.) Look online at www.oregoncrafted.org for ordering information or call the Oregon Crafted office at 541-687-8353.

Win a 2008 Toyota Prius and Support the Arts!
Purchase your ticket today for just $25; only 2000 tickets will be sold. Buy online at www.oregoncrafted.org or call the office at 541-687-8353. The drawing will be held at the “Keep Art Alive” Auction on October 6, 2007. We have been selling the tickets at various art events, such as Art and the Vineyard, da Vinci Days (through Gallery Nouveau in Corvallis), and Sternwheeler Days at Cascade Locks. Thanks to all who helped staff these events! We still need lots of help to sell raffle tickets. If you are interested in selling raffle tickets, please contact the Oregon Crafted staff.

Auction Update
The Oregon Crafted Board of Directors are planning our 1st Annual Art Auction on Saturday, October 6, 2007, from 7 – 9 pm at The Studio at the Hult Center in Eugene, to benefit Oregon Crafted and artist programs. Artwork in a variety of styles and mediums will be represented, as well as other items and experiential packages.

Eugene Public Library Show
Come down to the Eugene Public Library to admire the amazing diversity exhibited by Oregon Crafted artists! 52 artists are represented, with 84 pieces on display. The show will be on exhibit through July and August. (Artists are to pick up their work September 4th, 5th , and 6th at the Oregon Crafted office (220 E. 11th Ave., Suite 5, Eugene). The show includes pieces inspired by music performed at this year’s Oregon Bach Festival.

Eugene Celebration
Oregon Crafted will have a booth at the Eugene Celebration, September 8-10, and will be selling Prius Raffle tickets and the 2nd Edition Oregon Crafted Guidebook. We need volunteers to help staff the booth! Please let us know if are able to help with this event.


CALL TO ARTISTS

Cycle Oregon in Oakridge
Oregon Crafted will have a large booth on September 13th in Oakridge, in conjunction with Cycle Oregon’s visit and overnight stay in this community. Artists that are interested in having a table to sell their work should contact the Oregon Crafted office. Final details are being secured, and will be sent to artists within the next week.

Florence Events Center “Celebrate Arts, 2007”
Call for entries: "Celebrate Arts, 2007" a juried art show sponsored by Friends of the Florence Events Center, Nov. 2-11, 2007. Open to all 2D, 3D and photography, plus two Young Artists categories.
